The Castleberry Boys' Forge Creations

Stephen and Ben (24 and 17) enjoy making creations on their coal-fired forge. Here are some pictures of the items they have created. Please note that each one is totally differerent from all others, since they are hand-made one at a time. Many of these pieces take over 30 minutes to forge. The final product is coated in bees wax to help avoid rusting and to provide a pleasant patina.

Note: Size, shape and details will likely vary somewhat from those pictured here but they will still be very much like these. Remember each one is a unique hand-crafted forge creation using old-fashioned hand-cranked bellows. Each creation is coated in bees wax to protect the natural beauty of forged items.

Shipping and handling costs are $2 for the first item and 50 cents for each additional item. So, if you're ordering forge creations and you're also ordering books, the shipping is just 50 cents for each forge creation.

Thanks! Ben and Stephen

S hook ($5)

Okay, so what do you use an S hook for? They are good for hooking over a closet rod to hang purses, a diaper bag, or a coat. In the bathroom, we use them to hang a bath scrub brush or towel. They're very strong.

Hoof pick ($5)

We use the hoof pick for all sorts of things. Obviously it's for cleaning the hoofs of horses, goats, or sheep. But it's also good for getting dirt out of the treads of boots, and cleaning out junk stuck between cracks. If you think hard enough, I imagine you can think of one or two other uses for a hoof pick. If nothing else, you can buy one, and have people try to figure out what it's for.

Wall hook $5

Wall hooks are good for most everthing that an S hook is good for, except you don't have to have a bar or rod to hang it. This hook hangs from a nail or screw on a wall. We use ours for towels. We also drape cute candles from them by their wicks. They're good for hanging purses or hats. Very sturdy.
